A significant portion of our immediate population is elderly and mobility-challenged - our playgrounds should be responsive to our community's specific needs.
There are many schools in the area, all of whom have need for exterior recreation space.
The Banks already has basketball courts (closed now for over a decade) and open space suitable for a variety of sports and activities.
Some of that space could be reserved for students during school hours to address this community need.
