
Finance and Development Associate
Zhala is originally from Azerbaijan, and moved to the USA to pursue her Master of Public Administration degree, where she focused on nonprofit management and community impact. Before joining Gotham Park, Zhala worked as a public administration consultant at a city municipal office in her home country, where she gained experience in local government operations and community-focused initiatives.
At Gotham Park, Zhala supports the organization’s finance, accounting, data management, fundraising, and operational efforts while contributing to the growth of a welcoming public space beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. She is passionate about community-centered work, public spaces, and bringing people together through meaningful initiatives.
Outside of work, Zhala enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and exploring New York City.
